In the comments to one of the previous posts the issue of food was raised, so I decided to share my lunch with the audience.
At the moment I work at the East Siberia city called Novy Urengoy (litteraly "New Urengoy" Urengoy doesn't mean anything), during the weed days, me and my girl friend visit one restaurant called Yalta (the name of Southern Ukranian city).
This is the building, the restaurant is on the second floor actually. It's a mid size average in price restaurant, where during the lunch time they serve so called "Business lunch"
First comes salad, today it was "Olivye", that's probably one of the most popular salads in former Soviet Union. It consists mainly of meat, boiled potato, onion, boiled carrots, pickles and it is dressed in mayonnaise.
The next thing is a starter - traditionallu it's some kind of soup. Today we had a fish soup called "Ukha".
The second was a backed fish under some kind of sauce with fried onion and buckwheat as a side.
And finally some dessert. Usually they are very pretty in this restaurant, but unfortunately I decided to take pictures on Friday and Chief was probably too tired to make something special (:
So just tea and some kind of cake.
The price of the lunch you saw is 250 rubles which is roughly 10 dollars US.
And what did you have for lunch today?
